Before Cooking: Nourishing Oil To form a protective oil film, it is recommended to perform an oil-nourishing program during the initial use of the wok. This process will enhance the wok's performance after the oil film has been established.

Vegetable Oil Protective Film During transportation, the surface of the cast iron wok is protected by two layers: a vegetable oil protective film and a black oxide protective film.

What is "Pre-Season"? Using cooking oil to condition the surface of the iron wok allows the oil to gradually penetrate the interior, ultimately enhancing the wok's performance.

The Reason for Black Residue The black residue that may rub off from the wok's surface is a result of carbonization. This occurs when the wok is not properly cleaned after use, allowing oils and food particles to accumulate over time due to high-temperature cooking. Additionally, if the wok is not thoroughly dried after cleaning, it may rust, which can react with certain food components, leading to this discoloration.

Solution: 1. Use a steel wire ball to scrub off the residues. 2. Clean the wok thoroughly. 3. After drying, heat the wok and apply cooking oil, allowing it to soak into the entire surface. Repeat this process for about 5 minutes over low heat. 4. Turn off the heat and let the wok cool naturally.
